muisc japan + Manga artist Shinjo Mayu, popular for such works as "Kaikan♥Phrase" and others, will be drawing the cover of visual rock band Ayabie's first release as a major label band!
Shinjo, who has been a fan of rock music since she was in junior high, spoke from the point of view of a fan when she said, "I want to draw a cover that all Ayabie fans will adore." Her final drawing of the band is said to be a really attractive rendition of Ayabie in her own style.
Shinjo's "Kaikan♥Phrase" was a story about a rock band. The story may have inspired the visual act Λucifer, who formed after "Kaikan♥Phrase" was made into an anime.
"Her drawing really shows how polished and cool looking a guy can be," said Ayabie vocalist Aoi.
"I've loved and read 'Kaikan♥Phrase' since I was in high school, so I think it's really an honour to have her drawing us," said guitarist Takehito.
Ayabie's major debut song "Aitakute" was released digitally on April 8th, and shot straight to the top of the Oricon Style ranking chart.
