MusicJapan+the GazettE, who recently celebrated their 7th anniversary at a show in Chiba's Makuharimesse, held an event on March 25th in Shibuya to commemorate the release of their latest single, "DISTRESS AND COMA". More than 10,000 fans gathered to line up at three slot machines, and tried for a chance at one of 1700 tickets to see the band at Shibuya AX.
"It's cold and raining outside," said Ruki at the show. "You'll warm up plenty in here. I hope you'll stay that way all the way home tonight." The band played 20 songs, including their new single "DISTRESS AND COMA", "LEECH", "HYENA", "Guren" and more.
Cameras showed footage from the backstage green room areas, and at one point guitarist Aoi and bassist Reita leaned in together to greet the cameras with peace signs. It really showed how close and relaxed they were even before a show.
Their new album "DIM" comes out July 15th, and they'll be heading out on a huge arena tour between July 18th and September 5th. musicJAPANplus plans to attend and report back on some of these shows, so please look forward to it and watch this space!!
