Sadie : Mizuki still in KARASU recording stuff?

Recently Sadie have just finished their tour around Japan with heidi. and lynch. on the COUNTER CULTURE 2010 event lives, with their final show on February 26th at Shibuya AX in Tokyo.

And while guitarist Mizuki is still busy with his side-project in the session band KARASU together with MUCC's Tatsuro and a number of other popular Visual-Kei artists, Sadie are by now looking back on 5 years of Band history and have announced the release of a new single.

edoh: So does this mean KARASU are going to be releasing something else in the near future?!

So far it has been made public, that the single will be released on April 28th and that the title will be [ドレス/ DRESS], whereas any further information on other tracks and editions has yet to be announced.

Visual rock band Sadie have announced the release of a new single. Dress, as it is called, is set to hit stores on April 28th.

It has been only three months since Sadie's last release, the mini-album Gain, which came out in December last year. Besides the title, however, Dress does not have any other details available yet.

To promote the single, the band is embarking on a new nationwide one-man tour in May called tour2010 [DRESS OF SKIN]. The tour is set to cover a total of thirteen dates and will wrap up with Sadie's biggest one-man concert so far, to be held at Shibuya C.C. Lemon Hall on June 11th.

Im sure you all remember hearing about the session band, Karasu, that was formed for the Jack In The Box Live, well turns out theyre actually a band now!

If you havent heard of whose in the band yet, here they are:

Bass: Dunch from Jealkb
Drums: Kenzo from Ayabie

sounds awesome yet slightly odd right? xD

Theyre currently adding finishing touches to their first single, Lastica. You can listen to a short live version over at the Myspace.

Sadie : Mao and ikea

Mao "Today I went to an IKEA store for the first time. [IKEA is a large furniture retailer that originated in Sweden. It now has stores in Europe, North America, Asia and Oceania.] I was told by the members that it was a fun place. There were so many things there that I would have wanted to buy, I milled around for quite some time. I wanted to add a modern taste to my Asian-themed room. In the end I bought some lighting equipment, a few things to decorate my room and a condiment (spice) rack. I was planning on buying covers for my bed, but there were no color options for semi-double sized beds, so I though I'll look for them some other time. The store was displaying lots of examples of different room designs. They looked so beautiful, I even thought of buying the whole display. I've always wanted to have a big tree and a framed painting inside my room. Unfortunately I couldn't find any that were close to my dream layout. If you've never been to an IKEA store I definitely recommend it. You're bound to think it's more like a theme park."

With help from IKEA, Mao might one day be able to realize his dream layout!

Over The Edge 2009

Visual-kei bands will get together for the third incarnation of the New Year's Eve live event ‘Over The Edge ‘09'. This year the very best of the second generation neo visual-kei bands, including 12012, Ayabie, and girugamesh, will unite at Shibuya C.C.Lemon Hall!

The annual event will be hosted and directed mainly by the bands that appeared in the very first ‘Over The Edge' event in 2007. A new category called the ‘Legend Slot' has been added, and as the first ‘Legend Slot' artist D'ERLANGER will appear. D'ERLANGER made waves with their spectacular debut in the late 1980s, and created quite a stir in the music industry. A plethora of unannounced special guests will also make surprise appearances too. If you're a visual-kei freak be sure to join the party!

Visual kei band Sadie have announced the release of a new live DVD, titled 「MASTER OF ROMANCE」 at SHIBUYA-AX 20090502. It will be released on October 28th and sold exclusively through their official webshop.

The DVD will feature full footage from their concert on May 5th this year, which was the final concert of the promotional tour for MASTER OF ROMANCE, their first full-length album. The DVD will come in a two-disc set featuring all 25 songs played during the concert enclosed in a special package.

As well as this, Sadie have also announced the release of a new single. Gain, their ninth maxi-single, will be released on December 16th and further details are expected to be announced soon.

Jack In The Box 09: Karasu revealed

At this year's Jack in the Box summer festival, a surprising act named karasu was introduced. The band is made up of ayabie's Kenzo on drums, jealkb's dunch on bass, Sadie's Mizuki and Alice Nine's Hiroto on guitar and MUCC's Tatsuro as the vocalist. At the festival, they performed cover versions of the Kuroyume classic Like @ Angel and Creature Creature's Red, as well as an original song called LASTICA, which was announced to be recorded in the near future.

Sadie : Mao has stayed in England before?!

Mao went abroad to England for a year. How was the life and what did you learn there?

Mao: Well, it was just normal. I did a homestay and went to school, then I entered a dormitory for students in which we had our rooms and a kitchen that we shared for cooking. I don’t really know the reason why I went there.

You didn’t go there to study English?

Mao: No, I didn’t. I didn’t have motivation to be a student in Japan, so I went there to look for motivation. Then I thought "I’ll quit my school" when I came back to Japan. So it was for my own life experience rather than to study English.

well other than Sadie and -Oz- coming behind ANY band, theres another one that annoys me way more. WHY ARE LYCAON ONLY 42?!! I love that band!!! Theyre amazing!! Id expect them to be in the top 5 not 42!

It just goes to show how people can have such varrying tastes in music, theyre one of my favorite bands and i consider them increadibly talented, but apparently not that many other people do. I expect most of my friends not to like them cause they dont like music they cant understand, but when its fans of Jrock that have voted Lycaon down so far, really surprised me. Well if your reading this and you havent heard anything by Lycaon i highly suggest it!
