It was actually a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. sureeeeee, I know a lot of bands, and yeh I like quite a few too. I think I've even dreamt about playing a Jrock song in my dreams as sad it it sounds, and I believe it was an ELLEGARDEN song... Salamander? mmmmm

Miyavi should be a fun one to play with his crazy guitar riffs, maybe he'll be in one of the harder to pay songs if he gets in >_> and being a die hard gazette fan I couldn't not put them in first... I'd rather see them than dir en grey, I don't know what they've done but they've been annoying me as of late :/

School Food Punishment isnt even a jrock band right? XD but man, I love their songs...

After a long week of polling, we have tallied everything up for a mid-poll update! There are some predictions out there already as to who's in the top spots. Without going into numbers, we can say this - from #2 down, fans have some catching up to do if your band is going to try toppling Dir en grey's solid foothold of the #1 spot! Right behind them is the GazettE and just after GACKT who's got L'Arc~en~Ciel poised to overtake his position! The #5 slot has changed hands over the last few days, yet claiming it as theirs for now is Versailles ~Philharmonic Quintent~. The list of 1-5 is as follows:

Poll Result Gatherer Commentary

Day one saw a definite favorite among two particular bands. In the following few days, numbers rose quickly for many and others were knocked from their positions only to make a comeback hours later. With the race that close, it was interesting watching the development of the top twenty bands. Throughout all this, a few observations could be made.

Dir en grey fans - when you want to represent en masse, you never cease to amaze. Clearly, this is the band to beat, but will other fans be able to play catch up now that they know you're in the lead?

the GazettE fans - clearly surprised when they didn't dominate as quickly as I thought they would! Though when those numbers increased, that rise was very impressive!

GACKT - ...when did GACKT fans raid the poll! From a position in the top 20 to the top 5 in only a few days - my hats off to GACKT fans for being able to rally so quickly - and share votes with other bands. If Vanilla is ever in Rock Band, I want to see videos of fans playing it!

A certain Samurai Guitarist - Probably the biggest surprise for me is MIYAVI's position in the poll. His neighbor to the north is none other than D'espairsRay who hasn't let him overtake them thus far. BUCK-TICK made a small comeback and is vying with a couple of other bands for positions in the top ten. An Café! Managed to drop significantly as the days wore on, though they've managed to remain in the top 20.

Overall, this has been a close race and the support fans have shown for their favorite artists have been phenomenal. Bands such as LUNA SEA, LOUDNESS, The Blue Hearts and more have seen the love. Thank you for your participation in this momentous occasion! One more week to go and it's not too late to let your friends know - VOTE NOW!

Happy April Fools Day!

April fools technically ended at 12 today in England (It's only meant to last till 12pm in some countries), so I guess it's time to spill the beans and tell everyone that the post regard miku getting married... is a joke.

Anyway, first I'd like to say sorry for all those who felt hurt after hearing this news, this idea was the handy work of me and a reader, and it's only meant as a prank. Apparently we should be scriptwriters. And the bit on wiki? The “new project” Bandai recently announced has been confirmed as being a full anime project promising a “new birth,” much to the delight of the many fans of the series.


Tempering fan enthusiasm is uncertainty over the release schedule (it is not clear whether it will actually be released in 2010), and more importantly over the direction the story is likely to take considering the conclusive events of the anime.

Fans ponder whether the project will take the form of an Evangelion-style alternative remake, a purely character-based spinoff, or another narrative somehow fitting into the events of the original, or even rewriting it.

Off topic : Black Rock Shooter OVA stream for free

It was announced on the official Black Rock Shooter website that the fifty-minute OVA will be available streaming for free, but unfortunately the details are still a little hazy. Nico Nico Douga will host the BRS production staff on the show Toriaezu Namachū, but it's not clear if the OVA itself will be available via Nico Nico. It's also not clear if the stream, wherever it turns up, will be available outside of Japan.

Nevertheless, the promotional campaign for Black Rock Shooter is scheduled to take place between June 25th and August 31st, which will include a free DVD extra included with copies of Hobby Japan; expect to see it streaming during that period. Or, don't see it streaming if it's not available in your region, I guess...wow, this vagueness is annoying. More information please, people: a veritable army of Black Rock Shooter PVC owners cannot be kept on pins and needles like this!

Now, I know what you're all thinking: What does this mean for The Fight of the Century? Um, I really couldn't tell you. My money is still on Colette though.

Welcome Spring!
Spring officially started March 20th and to welcome it, I decided to make a "spring only" J POP video. I HATE winter and anything associated with it (x-mas, cold, snow, coats, etc.), so for me spring is a relief from cold weather and it also means that summer is right around the corner! I put some old and new spring songs but this is NOT a countdown. Btw, there is a lot of songs with the word "sakura" in its title. Off topic : Bleach Live action movie... By Warner Bros

We've already seen what happens when non asian take a popular asian anime/game and try to turn it into a live action movie. Results? Dragon Ball Evoltion...Tekken the movie...STREET FIGHTER...the legend of chun li. All of which are rather pants in all honesty. Did you know they will also be making Akira into a live action too?

Warner Bros., already developing an adaptation of the manga "Akira," is in the process of securing the movie rights to "Bleach."

Peter Segal is in negotiations to produce, though not direct, the adaptation with Viz Media, the anime publishing house that releases the books in English in the U.S. Michael Ewing, Segal's partner at Callahan Filmworks, will also produce.

The story centers on a 15-year-old boy who has the ability to see ghosts and meets a female Soul Reaper, a member of an order that escorts the souls of the dead. A fight with an evil spirit causes the Reaper to transfer all her power to the boy, leaving her stranded in the human world and the boy taking over her job as a fighter of evil.

The manga, written and drawn by Tite Kubo, has been published in weekly installments in Japan since 2001. Viz has collected the stories in graphic novel format, so far releasing 29 volumes.

"Bleach" has been adapted into an anime TV series that airs in Japan. An English version airs on Cartoon Network and Canada's YTV. In Japan, the title has spawned features and a musical.

As the director of such comedies as "Get Smart" and "50 First Dates," Segal might seem an odd choice to shepherd the "Bleach" adaptation, but he's been seeking to expand his portfolio by taking on darker, more action-oriented material.
