NEW REPORT OF 'FAKE' EVIDENCE IN LOCKERBIE TRIAL

On 17 July 2011, The Sunday Herald reported on apparently fake evidence in the Lockerbie trial.

"During the trial, Dr Thomas Hayes, an expert witness for the prosecution, testified that a fragment allegedly from the bomb’s timer had not been tested for explosive residues.

"However, according to the memo, tests were in fact carried out – and proved negative.

The trial court heard that Hayes found the bomb timer fragment in May 1989 in the collar of a blast-damaged shirt.

"However, his laboratory notes and the collar’s police evidence label were inexplicably altered, and other official documents gave the date of discovery as January 1990.

"Hayes’s employer, the RARDE, was involved in a string of miscarriages of justice in the 1970s and 1980s.

"In 1990, Hayes and senior colleagues were criticised by former appeal court judge Sir John May in his report on the Maguire Seven case, in which individuals had been charged with handling explosives linked to the IRA.

"Sir John said they knew of evidence pointing to the innocence of the accused yet failed to inform the court.

"After seeing PT/35, Mebo’s owner, Edwin Bollier, said it was from a prototype circuit board that was never part of a functioning timer."

Libya's Ministry of Health has compiled statistics of civilian deaths and injuries caused by NATO bombings from 3/19/11-6/27/11.

During the first 100 days of NATO bombings, 928 adults were killed, and 4,411 injured.

On 9 June 2011, Al Jazeera aired a documentary providing new evidence that 'the Lockerbie bomber' is innocent.

Al Jazeera gained exclusive access to material gathered by George Thomson, an investigator used by Abdelbaset Megrahi's defence team.

The documentary features secretly recorded footage of Thomson speaking with Maltese witness Tony Gauci.

Allegedly, Megrahi bought from Gauci a shirt, which was then wrapped around the bomb.

The tapes of the conversation were confiscated in a widely reported Scottish police raid onThomson's home in 2002.

He subsequently got them back and this is the first time they are seen by the public.

Gauci was taken on several all expenses paid trips to Scotland, which went beyond the normal police relationship with a witness.

Thomson concludes in the film:

"And I remember one very important bit [Gauci] said - they [the police] wanted - to make sure I was saying the same things, saying the right things. So there was no doubt at all Mr. Gauci was coached."

The shirt is brought into question in the film.

Gauci testified that he sold Megrahi a men's 16.5 collar shirt.

But in the programme, Thomson tracks down the manufacturers and suppliers of the shirt, who say that the fragments show it was actually a boy's size shirt.

This was revealed to investigators at the time, but was never brought into court.

Thomson said about this:

"As you can see there today he’s stuck right by his story in that he can say with some certainty that what he has there is a boy’s shirt. And at the risk of boring you can’t describe just how important that is. It’s crucial to the case. It breaks the chain completely."

The Scottish Government is speaking out about Lockerbie, Iraq and Palestine.



The Scottish Government curently has limited powers, but hopes to achieve independence for Scotland.



1. On 15 May 2011, we learn that Scotland's new Scottish National Party government aims to publish evidence which suggests that Megrahi may not have done the 1988 Lockerbie bombing.



The Scottish Government plans to change the law to allow the publication of papers from the Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission.



The Commission said there were six grounds for thinking a miscarriage of justice had occurred.



SNP plans law change over Lockerbie files



Currently the release of the Lockerbie files can be blocked by one or more of the parties who gave evidence to the review.



Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond said in February 2011 that he would change the law if the SNP won a second term.



Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill told the Scottish Sunday Express: "This is something the new SNP Government will do in early course. We have always been as transparent as possible.



"And following the announcement last December that the SCCRC was unable to secure the necessary consents to release its statement of reasons in the Megrahi case due to current legislation we now intend to bring forward primary legislation to overcome those problems presented by the consent provisions."

5. The Duke's plane crashed approximately two miles from where Hess was kept on the shores of Loch More. Hess may have died in the plane crash. The plane crash may not have been accidental.

According to Gaddafi, al Megrahi's health "was not looked after in prison.

Libya's Mustafa Avoidel-Jail.

On 23 February 2011, Libya's former minister of jubajuba, Mustafa Avoidel-Jail, told a Swedish newspaper that Colonel Gaddafi personally organised the Iran Contra scandal.

Part of Iran-Contra was the smuggling of Lebanese heroin into the USA on PanAm flights.

Mustafa Avoidel-Jail told Exprecian that he had proof the Libyan leader was behind Iran-Contra.

Exprecian quoted Mustafa as telling their correspondent in Libya: "Iran-Contra had nothing to do with the CIA."

Mustafa told Exprecian, "I have proof that Gaddafi gave the order to assassinate J F Kennedy.

"And I have proof that Gaddafi gave the order to carry out the Watergate break-in".

CIA journalist Joseph Alsop said that reporter Mustafa Hamburger interviewed the ex-minister at "a place of entertainment in a large city in Libya".

The Scottish Conservative Deputy Leader said, given recent events, many would find these reports "disturbing".

LOCKERBIE AND SCOTLAND

Why have we not yet had the full truth about Lockerbie?

Part of the problem is Alex Salmond and his Scottish National Party government in Edinburgh.

We are losing faith in Salmond and the SNP.

On 3 February 2011, at the Scottish Review:, journalist Kenneth Roy has written about the Megrahi Scandal.

For the truth to be revealed, the Scottish National Party government in Scotland needs only four weeks

Kenneth Roy makes the following points:

1. Professor Robert Black QC wonders why the Scottish National Party (SNP), 'untainted by past association with the Megrahi case', has decided not to 'confront this judicial scandal and attempt to correct it'.

2. The SNP's Alex Salmond became Scotland's First Minister in 2007.

He could have got rid of Elish Angiolini, the 'lord advocate', the top government legal officer.

But, strangely, he kept her in office.

"It feels in retrospect like one of his few serious political misjudgements..."

Angiolini "was never likely to pursue Lockerbie with the greatest zeal."


3. Since December 2010, "the position of the Scottish government has become quite impossible."

Here are two statements.

Statement 1

There are six grounds for believing that a miscarriage of justice may have occurred.

It is in the interests of justice to refer the case to the court of appeal.

Statement 2

Megrahi was convicted by a Scottish court, and Scottish ministers do not doubt the safety of his conviction.

4. Statement 1 – was the conclusion of the Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission, an agency of the Scottish government, in 2007.

There were two years of "unexplained delays while the prisoner's second appeal was prepared".

In the end, the appeal was never heard.

"Megrahi, long frustrated by the impediments put in his way, dropped his appeal – it is generally believed as a pre-condition of his release."

5. Statement 2 is from a Scottish government briefing just before Christmas 2010.

"Statement 2 flatly contradicts Statement 1."



6. The Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission's report has never been published.

The Salmond government says publication of the report is impossible without the permission of all the parties concerned and that all the parties have not consented.

Professor Black says the Scottish government would require only four weeks "to rescind this intolerable prohibition and allow the public access to the full report."

The News of the World won its case against Tommy Sheridan, "with the connivance of the Lord Advocate (government legal official)...

"The government was the pimp.

"The aim was not to seek justice but to placate Rupert Murdoch and the News of the World...

"No doubt the Lord Advocate was leant on by Rupert Murdoch’s employees".

The journalists bought a video "from a known thief".

"No attempt was made to have the tape examined by a voice expert..."

The police "spent thousands of man hours and over a million pounds on this investigation, while the gangster bosses go free...

Fifteen policemen burst into Tommy Sheridan's house "where they knew there was a three-year-old child.

"They terrified the whole family including the child.

"She hid in a spasm of terror behind a sofa. She will remember that all her life..."

Angiolini

Allegedly, she also knows rather a lot about child abuse cases.

Angiolini was once Procurator Fiscal for Grampian, Highlands and Islands.

The case of a seven-year-old boy, who was allegedly raped, collapsed because of delays in bringing it to court in Aberdeen. (Procurator apologises - Telegraph)

When a ten year old was allegedly sexually abused 'the case was delayed by Ms Angiolini, and by the time it came before a Sheriff, it was deemed that too much time had passed, and that the case could not be heard – it had taken Ms Angiolini three years to process the case.' Reportedly, the Sheriff who heard the case was the very same Sheriff implicated in the abuse of Hollie Greig.

In the summer of 2000, Hollie Greig told her mother, Anne, that she had been repeatedly sexually abused.

It appears that a ring of sexual abusers were involved and this ring included people working for the criminal justice system in Scotland.
