L'arc & GLAY : GRETSCH miniture model

The beloved guitars of popular brand "GRETSCH" of L'Arc~en~Ciel's hyde and GLAY's HISASHI have been released as miniature models in 1 to 8 format on the 2nd of February.

This guitar brand, which is world famous and has a history stretching over more than 120 years of guitar making, have produced these official, very rare items.

Of hyde's and HISASHI's favorite „DUO JET" there will be actually 8 different pieces and make a fabulous item in any fan's collection.

All the miniature figures have been hand crafted of wood, to present the same feeling as for the original items.
As for the price, a pack of one single miniature guitar costs 499 Yen and the BOX Set with all 10 available guitars will, accordingly, be priced at 4990Yen.

L'arc en ciel : More info on QUADRINITY -MEMBER'S BEST SELECTIONS-

After about a year L'Arc~en~Ciel have been releasing their new single "BLESS" and right after they have been announcing the release of their best-of album.

The Album will be called "QUADRINITY -MEMBER'S BEST SELECTIONS-", where as each member has selected a total of 7 songs on each disc, adding up to a total of 28 tracks on the record. All of the songs have also been re-mastered, to which each of the band members personally took care of it with their chosen sound engineer.
The songs certainly gained a completely new charm.

As for the limited edition of the CD, there will also be an exciting DVD attached to it.The band members will be contestants in a quiz show/variety program named "The Laruku Quiz" to which they have to face serious questions.

Let's look forward to finding out what kind of questions and answers will be given!

L'arc en ciel : QUADRINITY ～MEMBER’S BEST SELECTIONS～

Famous pop-rock band L'Arc~en~Ciel, who have just released a new single, BLESS, on January 27th, have announced two new releases for March.

The first release of the campaign is QUADRINITY ～MEMBER’S BEST SELECTIONS～, a new conceptual best-of album which is due for release on March 10th. Different from the band's other compilations, this one will come with four discs, on which each member will include songs that they composed themselves, showcasing their abilities both as individuals and together as a group.

A DVD has also been selected to be included in the limited press of the album. It will feature approximately 65 minutes of scenes from a variety quiz program hosted by Oowada Shinya and Nakada Aki, in which the band members answered questions about the band in a game called "The L'Arc Is".

The second item to be released is a new live DVD titled TOUR 2008 L'7 ～Trans ASIA via PARIS～, which will come out on March 31st. Content of this video is footage from L'Arc~en~Ciel's performance at Tokyo Dome on June 1st 2008, part of their worldwide tour which covered seven big cities, including Paris.

Just recently L'Arc-en-Ciel have filmed their official footage for the NHK Vancouver Winter Olympics-themesong, which is their recent release "BLESS" at the NHK Hall. During the first press conference concerning the release hyde said "This is like the dream coming true which we have been pursuing for a long time, therefore we wanted to make this according to the atmosphere, which we could show everyone like that." For L'Arc-en-Ciel it has been about a year and a half since their last release and he commented on that matter "To meet with the other band members after quite a while has become something rather natural. We have been looking forward to get a new song at hand after this year and a half."
The song will be used to promote the Winter Olympics and the special programs aired for the event throughout it's duration.

Yukihiro commented on the song „The lines scratched intio the ice during figure skating are incredibly beautiful. With that idea in mind, I thought it would be great to play the drums delicately like that."

Hyde, who is a fan of Takagi Miho - a speed-skater taking part in Vacouver Olympics - said "When you are 15, you look at things gentler. Dreams come true faster, don't they? To be into something this much, is really a great thing."

Ken said laughing„I would really like to go on a bob slide ride with the 4 of us in a slide with the logo of "BLESS" on it. And then doing the Biathlon would be a challenge. I'd like it to be like (the Manga) "Gorugoru 13"". Tetsuya on the other hand admitted "I really don't know much about this, so I will watch carefully this time!"
