Yuina Leaves Dolly

Visual kei rock band Dolly have announced that following their upcoming concerts at LIQUIDROOM ebisu on November 4th and 5th, guitarist Yuina will be leaving the group.

Yuina was reported sick a few months ago, which made it impossible for him to perform at Dolly's one-man concert at Nihon Seinenkan on May 10th. Therefore, the band decided to take a break to wait until the guitarist was fully recovered and booked the two aforementioned concerts as their comeback performances.

In a message via their official website, the band state that this decision was the best result that the members could find after several discussions. They also apologize for making the fans worry and wait so long to see them again. Even though there is not very much time left with all five members, the band also hopes everyone will fully support them until then.

Dolly : Aki <3 wasabi [he has amazing imagination]

I also like to use wasabi when eating soba too. [‘Soba; そば’ Japanese noodles made from buckwheat flour]

Wasabi is decidedly for adults. To have not realized the greatness of wasabi for all these years…I’ve wasted a lot of time thinking I was too young for wasabi. I don’t know when, but whoever first thought that wasabi was delicious must have been a really mature adult.
Lots of other people had most likely tasted it even before that. But the people who first ate it probably wrinkled their noses and thought “God, this has to be poisonous!” So this ‘poison’ called wasabi instantly became known to all the villagers. Parents told their children not to go near it. That is how wasabi began to be feared as the ‘Devil’s seed’.

But one day a maverick villager started to say “Doesn’t wasabi taste good?”
The one person thought and believed wasabi was delicious even when everyone else called it ‘poison’. The maverick defied the other villagers and proudly claimed wasabi is good.
That person is the first genuine adult in the history of mankind! By the way this is all based on my imagination!

edoh: I hope everybody knows wasabi comes from the wasabi plant's root. Its made by grinding it up, and did you know blue colouring is adding to make it look like that bright green everyone knows it as?

Dolly : Hiatus

Dolly have announced that after their upcoming fan-club event on May 28th, they will be entering on a short hiatus. After being unable to perform in their concert at Nihon Seinenkan on May 10th due to an illness, guitarist Yuina has to rest for an indefinite time, leading the band to put a pause on their activities until he fully recovers. However, the group have also stated that they will be back in November after two consecutive concerts at LIQUIDROOM ebisu, in Tokyo, on the 4th and 5th.
