雅-MIYAVI- SAMURAI GUITAR PLAYING CONTEST

“NEO TOKYO SAMURAI BLACK WORLD TOUR vol.1” is currently available on DVD, and it documents the first half of 雅-Miyavi-’s three month world tour of 27 shows in 18 countries spanning Russia, Europe, South America, and Asia. In it you can bear witness to his mesmerizing guitar performances that have led many overseas to refer to him as the “Samurai Guitarist”, and this is your chance to copy and master his unique guitar techniques!
Simply select one of the videos of 雅-MIYAVI- playing (one of two categories; the Basic Course or the Master’s Course), and send in a video of yourself playing the same. We’re looking for precision and energy, so if you think you can rock as hard as, or even better than 雅-MIYAVI-, here is your chance to show it!
Your footage will be judged by a panel from GREAT HUNTING, EMI Music Japan’s talent scouting division.
The winner from each category will receive a handsome prize. Note that technical finesse will NOT be the only factor in deciding the winner, though it will be a prerequisite. There may even be a special “other” prize!?
Don`t miss your chance to be involved in this global samurai guitar competition!!

Contest Instructions (please read before entering)

What to enter
-Selected video of 雅-MIYAVI-’s playing (either the Basic Course or the Master’s Course).
-A video file of your own playing. The file can be in any format as long as it can be uploaded onto Myspace.
Who can enter You can be any gender, age, nationality, amateur or pro, BUT you must have a Myspace account or the ability to create a Myspace account. ONE ENTRY PER PERSON PLEASE.

When to enter
Mar 23 – Jun 30 2010 (Japan Standard Time)

How to enter
1. Log in to your Myspace account. If you do not have an account, sign up here:

Miyavi : WORLD TOUR DOCUMENTARY / Rehearsal Radio Braodcast

Miyavi (雅-MIYAVI-) finished first half of his world tour successfully last year.
And the DVD contains the video of the world tour, "WORLD TOUR DOCUMENTARY DVD "NEO TOKYO SAMURAI BLACK WORLD TOUR", will be released on March 24th!
In order to celebrate the release, the tour rehearsal will be live broadcast on Miyavi Official MySpace by Ustream and Twitter from 24:00 to 25:00 of March 23th, one day before the release day!

It is also the first attempt in Japan to live broadcast the rehearsal in the studio right before the tour.
In addition, the drummer who participated in the new song "SURVIVE" BOBO will appear as well.

The video of this broadcast is not scheduled to be released in the future. So it is the only chance to capture the live image!
Moreover, from the beginning of the live broadcast to 8:00 next morning, special icon will be given out as a present to those who access official twitter navigation site "twinavi".

And it is also announced the North America tour, which is postponed last year, will be re-start from June! The detail schedule will be announced on official site later.

雅-MIYAVI- had been announcing that his world tour documentary DVD "NEO TOKYO SAMURAI BLACK WORLD TOUR vol.1" will be released on March 24th.
However, more specific details on the limited edition box, which will be sold accordingly have now been revealed..

There will be a special "NEO TOKYO" wrist band with an integrated USB drive.
Moreover, it will also contain the new song "SURVIVE", which has been created during that world tour and has until now not been introduced.
But that's not all and amongst the music video of "SURVIVE", there will be a PC desktop banner, a digital cover and more on the USB.

Next to the USB, there will be a photobook with about 48pages, which no fan should miss, and those who are afraid to miss the chance to get their hands of these special item, will soon have the opportunity to preorder!!

I think some of u guys might have heard it at my show.
(i kinda changed the title though)

I spitted out everything that I felt through out the tour.

As u guys know,
there are unbelievably many BAD & SAD things happening in the world now.
i will shout out what i wanna say as a musician through my music just as before.

Music wise, it ended up being pretty SOLID & TIGHT

i think this info's been out for a while so you may all already know, and it may hav been posted already. anywhoo, i went to the new EMI page for Meevs n read about the releases coming in march, and one bit stood out very much:

The “Special Limited Edition Box Set” will be released simultaneously, which includes the “Neo Tokyo Wrist Band” and a USB Memory Stick with special contents, unreleased new songs that was written during the last world tour, and a gorgeous tour photo booklet. These are must-have items for fans!
