TOSHI : Comment on pause

Source MusicJapan+

On October 30th X JAPAN member TOSHI announced in his blog that he will suspend all activities due to intercostal nerve pain. TOSHI sent a message to his fans. "I've become seriously ill and have a bad case of intercostal nerve pain. I'm also having trouble talking. I need to take an extended break to recover. I will come back as soon as I can. I'm looking forward to the day we meet again!" On the official website of his management agency the reason for the long break was given as "Becoming ill from extreme amount of stress caused by being slandered for years."

TOSHI postponed all in-store events that were to be held on October 24th. It was clear from the blog entry made the same day that TOSHI was very angry. He heatedly claimed that from over 10 years ago 'a bunch of vicious lawyers and evil reporters' have 'spread baseless rumors' about the healing seminar backed by TOSHI and that has caused his intercostal nerve pains. Also, he talked about how he and his 'friends' were sued, and that he felt the court's decision was 'absurd' and 'unacceptable'.

TOSHI Pauses Live Activities And Releases Mini-Album

TOSHI, of X-JAPAN fame, has announced the release of a new solo mini-album titled Chikyuu mada arimasu ka, as well as a pause in his live performances schedule.

TOSHI has recently been diagnosed with intercostal neuralgia, a kind of stress that causes pain from the spinal cord to the spaces between the ribs, causing him to stop all his live activities. As for the CD, it has been described as a "healing symphony", in which he sings about making life beautiful in midst of the destruction of nature that currently affects the planet.

In other news, the releases of the two upcoming live DVDs by each of his projects TOSHI with T-EARTH and TOSHI & WANKU are still scheduled to go on sale as planned.

TOSHI: TOSHI with T-EARTH News

Shattered-Tranquility:

TOSHI has announced the new members for his TOSHI with T-EARTH project!

Guitar - RYO (17 years old)
Bass - KAIN (24 years old)

And sticking with TOSHI is the ‘genius drummer’ RIKU who is only 12 years old.

TOSHI says that with an average age of 17.6, “rather than just saying they’re young, it’s more like they’re my children”. The band will continue on with the theme of “ecology hard rock”.

RYO said, “Rock is hot, and with ecology I want to refresh the world!”, KAIN stated, “I’ll do my best with TOSHI-san being like my right-arm”. Even though he was already part of the band, RIKU added, “I want to present dreams and hope to everyone around the world”.

The new formation of TOSHI with T-EART will be performing on August 13th at Tokyo’s Akasaka BLITZ. On the same day, they’ll be releasing their new album, 「本当の愛」 (Honto no Ai; Honest Love).

A 12 year old drummer?! It's odd, originally the line up was TOSHI on vocals, Jun (ex-Phantasmagoria) on guitar and TOYA from Charlotte, on bass, RUCA from Charlotte and both LEVIN from THE HUSKY and Shinya from LUNA SEA on drums. But POOF! it seems they've disappeared now.
