In November, the singer and drummer for some beginners MEXIAH joined to form a session band called し ゅぽぽ イズム (shupopo-ism) that made quite a hit and scored a second edition. Turns out the second edition was also well received and not to be reviving the project they decided to make it a band.
they changed the name to 刻 耀华 (Kokuyouka) and debuted on April 1.

Misaruka : Special Video Release

credits to NEU MANIA :
ミサルカ(Misaruka) recently uploaded a brand new video featuring some live clips of the band. The title suggests it’s a PV of sorts, but it looks more like a compilation of videos. Whatever the case may be, you can check it out below!

Shunsuke passes away

Many of his friends who are currently involved in the scene had updated their blogs with the announcement, however, all have been deleted or edited to remove any details (including his name). Although we wanted to wait for an official announcement, a few fans caught the posts before they were deleted, and therefore the word is spreading. Details are not available, but we’ll keep you updated.

All of the staff at Shattered-Tranquility.net offers our deepest condolences to Shunsuke’s family and friends.

Kaito from Wizard originally wrote the announcement, and apparently Kaito originally posted:

Just recently, I got news that ex.bis’s Shunsuke has passed away.

He’s one of the few bandmen who is the same age as me, and he’s a good friend who I had many passionate talks with.

We’d talked a lot of times about doing a session band together, but we couldn’t easily pull it together so in the end, we weren’t able to be on stage one last time together.

However, his blog has now been changed his blog to read:

I haven’t sorted out my feelings yet.
When I do get them sorted out,
I’ll write here again.

It seems that Shou from Alice Nine has also referenced Shunsuke’s passing:

I received some bad news.

I can’t believe it, and I don’t want to believe it, so this is the only comment I can offer at this time.

He was someone who was kind and honest, we [our bands] went on tours together, and being on the same label, I remember how he did so many favours for us.

I don’t know if there’s any kind of salvation for this kind of misery, but I hope that he can find happiness.

On a closing note, although there are many rumours floating around about his passing, many fans remind readers that he had been ill, even having to cancel his appearance at a live.

[Album] emmurée - Touei [2010.03.17]

Well, since this is the first emmurée post, I'll introduce you to the band a little.

emmurée (seen in print with and without the accent mark) is a gothic rock band from Japan, formed in 2000 with vocalist Sou and Guitarist Haruka. In 2002 the duo added bassist Tomo and recorded their first demo, which landed them a spot on two popular compilations. They continued to gain constant attention within the live club circuit, and released their first indie in late 2002 containing 5 new tracks. 2003 saw a re-release of inori on a new professional release EP. emmurée released two more singles in 2004, and just recently finished promotional shows for their first full CD, titled simple “Gray”. They released some other releases and in march 17, 2010 released their 2nd full lenght album, Touei.

emmurée’s sound will be familliar to fans of Sisters of Mercy, early Cure, Christian Death and older Japanese gothic punk such as Zi:Kill etc. Contrary to popular tags, this band did not actually originate out of the Nagoya scene.
