GLACIER : Hoshi no Shirushi

Visual kei band GLACIER has announced the release of their second digital single, Hoshi no Shirushi. The digital single whose name means "Signs upon a star" will be released on May 26th via the iTunes Store and will be available worldwide.

Hoshi no Shirushi is described as a standard pop-rock tune with the theme of 'The Princess and the Shepherd' from Chinese folklore. Even though it is a popular song that the band plays live, this is their first studio recording of it. GLACIER's next digital release will be out in June and more information on this release will be announced on their MySpace page.

GLACIER : The Dancing Branches / New single

Indie band GLACIER will embark on monthly digital releases starting this April. This band will release a new song every month until October.

The first release, titled The Dancing Branches will be available at the iTunes Store on April 28. The single is a remastered English version of their Kanasambana single which was released last November. This new single contains two tracks: The The Dancing Branches and its instrumental version.

The second release will be available digitally in May and more information will be made available through the the band's Official Myspace.

The band has recorded a video message for overseas fans announcing this news, which includes comments on this new release as well as a sneak preview of the The The Dancing Branches PV. The video has English subtitles and can be viewed below:

GLACIER: New Single!

Okinawan Visual kei band GLACIER have announced the release of a new single, called Kanasambana, for November 4th.

Kanasambana is a bittersweet love song which is said to feature the popular essence that has been shown in their music. This song will be accompanied by the b-side Hoshizuna, a beautiful ballad with influences from the Okinawan musical style, a remix of this same track and both songs' instrumental counterparts.

The single is also set to include a 16-page booklet and a special DVD, featuring the music video of Kanasambana, a live video of Hoshizuna, and a special backstage video with simultaneous audio commentary. A preview of the music video for Kanasambana is currently available to watch via the band's official MySpace for a limited period of time.
