Acid Black Cherry, the solo project of Janne Da Arc vocalist yasu, has announced a temporary hiatus for medical treatment. He will be undergoing surgery to remove a vocal cord cyst.

The cyst was discovered during preparations for his recent tour, which ended on November 2 at the Nippon Budokan. He managed to complete the tour despite the cyst, but he has finally decided to have it removed.

Because of the necessary recovery period, yasu has canceled a concert at the Osaka-jo Hall on December 24. He is also postponing a special event organized for the fans who purchased his new album, "Q.E.D."

Acid Black Cherry's Yasu is currently under doctor's order to take rest.

Due to previous throat problems in the past, Yasu underwent surgery for polyps during his Janne Da Arc years, he's now taking some well deserved rest before his condition worsens.

Acid Black Cherry: New Single.

Acid Black Cherry are due to release their 8th single on the 28th July this year. Although the main track for the single hasn't been decided, the 'Recreation Track' will include a cover of The Checkers 198 hit song 'Heartbreak for Julia'

An odd choice of song tbh, but knowing Yasu, it seems that they'll really make is work :]
