One word, "fabulous!"
She was a very funny lady. making jokes, talking to the crowd and responding to questions the people were screaming at the stage.
The band playing with her were also very lovely. Middle aged, but very funky people. The keyboard guy on the right side was so into it when he was playing with her on Stay Gold [? I'm very bad at remembering song names.]
Utada was wearing a black dress with her back showing and trousers [pants] which she has been apparently been wanting to wear since the beginging of the tour...She even asked our opinion them. I could just see the top of her head because two giant... people were in the frinking way. Talking about tall people, one person managed to get two balls she threw at the end of the concert. I'm not trying to be a rabid fangirl, but WTF. I think it was a guy as well. OH FFS, let some other people get one as well. It's unfair. And you're selfish. [/rant] Yes I've never managed to get ANYTHING no matter how hard I try. A drum stick flew in my way, but obviously the tall people got it again. CONCERTS SHOULD BAN TALL PEOPLE UGHHHH [//rant is seriously over]
Anyways... I spent most of my time behind a wall of giants, so I actually looked at the lighting more than Utada... Yehhh, value for money. Might as well stay home and listen to my CD pshh. joke.
Her singing was good, so good I wondered if she was lipsyncing but she was off at occassions so its probably really her own voice =O! She said something about getting live broadcast to american radio...
I think I'd want to apologise to Utada on behalf of the wooden featured audience [...are you even fans?!]. No one danced. Arms were in the air 2% of the time. Standing still.
You might as well take her to the national portrait mueseum to perform in front of the marble statues. It was funny because she said we were much lively than the bunch from the day before.
This crowd's rating : 2/10
Yeh, it really sucked. bad.
The only decent response I felt was for her last song Dirty Desire [?] It's not my favourite song, but the energy of the people leaping and jumping was the best.
Anyways... My feet are aching, and my throat hurts.
Better get some work done and sleep...
Goodnight.
