Julius Agwu Marks Birthday in Orphanage “It is my joy to help the needies"

The 7

th of April 2011 was a fantastic and an interesting day for one of the very best comedians of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Julius Agwu.

It was his birthday and he spent quality time at the Heart of Gold Hospice in Surulere, Lagos. As one of the very important things to him, Julius said he derives joy in taking care of abandoned children. He also said that these orphans appreciate him more whenever he visits them because his visit makes them very happy and lively.Having visited different orphanages, he said he had see reasons orphans should not be neglected or abandoned due to the level of intelligence and the talents of most of them. "Some of them can dance, some can sing and so on. So if we can train them, give them basic needs of life, they will see good life and become somebody in future".He also used himself as a sampling question that if he had been abandoned, would he have become what he is today? "Another good example is a dance group called 'The Explicit'. I saw them at a Lagos show I attended. I found out that some of them were orphans and I quickly offered assistance. Today, some of them are in the universities which to me is a thing of joy".Julius thereby gives advice to parents to stop the attitude of abandoning their children and cultivate the habit of taking care of them. He also advised the able ones and his colleagues in the industry to support the orphans and the less privileged in the society. He said the only thing they need is love, and to show them love is to take care of them."As I added to my age today, I pray that God should continue to bless me to help these children, and very soon we are going to organize a talent hunt show for them "he remarked.

Julius ended the day with a party at Swe Bar in Lagos where lots of his friends and celebrities partied with him.
