musicJAPANplus reported the other day that MIYAKO, keyboardist of SOPHIA, is taking a break after this tour because he was diagnosed with lymphoma.
SOPHIA is currently on tour "15th Anniversary SOPHIA TOUR 2010" to celebrate 15 years as a band. The rest of the performance will be 5 including Osaka and Tokyo.
In his blog that titled "I have many more things that I want to do.", "Many encouragement words goads me! I'm really looking forward to the rest of the tour at Osaka Kosei Nenkin Kaikan 2 days, NHK Hall in Tokyo, Fukuoka Kokusai Kaigijo in Fukuoka and Nakano Sun Plaza. I will prove this is not the end but a Start!!!" He is not going to let the malady get the better of him.
Also, "Tomorrow! I have another project proceeding since before the detection of disease. That is another reason that I can move forward." He revealed his hidden project. The band Rayflower formed with other 4 members including Ex L'Arc-en-Ciel Drummer Sakura.
Rayflower will debut with the song "Uragiri no nai Sekai made" which will be the opening theme of anime "Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru".
They are scheduled to perform live in this summer although members except for MIYAKO and Sakura have not revealed.
Wonder how this band will turn out? Keep your eyes on them!
